My redemption story started when I thought I made a decision for Jesus at 8 years old. When I was 13 years old I was on a Teen Retreat in Snowshoe, West Virginia when a friend cared enough to talk to me about my relationship with Jesus. His name was Shane and he asked about my story. I shared with him that when I was 8 years old I really didn't understand who Jesus was or what he did for. He made it clear that in eternity hell would be my home. I was lost and needed Jesus. I prayed to receive Christ as my savior at 13 years old!

I still had many ungodly influences in my life. I later became addicted to alcohol and this took me down a very dark road. By the age of 14 I was drinking pretty much every weekend. This lifestyle came to an abrupt end just before my 16th birthday. I was with a group of friends indulging in the flesh I became severely intoxicated and to make a long story short, I wound up in an emergency room where my heart stopped, and my kidney's shut down. I woke up a couple days later with absolutely no lasting injuries. God is a good God and I have been mightily blessed. Please keep in mind that before this I never missed a Sunday or Wednesday or even a Monday night visitation. When I went back to church I completely focused on the wrong thing. Everyone I had played church around for the last five years immediately said we told you so. I knew that I had lived hell at school and work and Jesus at church. I also knew that I didn't remember a single time when anyone told me the life I was leading was wrong. So after that I walked out of church exclaiming in my mind that the Christian church was nothing more than a bunch of hypocrites. I began to pour all my time into work spending 40hrs a week at a part time job. I decided I wasn't going back to church. God introduced me to another person who would be influential at this point in my life. I had began to draw even further away from Christ. Jonathan was a close friend and one weeknight in a McDonald's drive-thru he gave me a rude awakening he said "Brock I love you and you are one of my best friends but as long as you are living the life you're living and you do the things you do, I can't be around you anymore"! I told him that his friendship meant more to me than that and that if he would help me I would try to change. I went to church with him that week twice and by the the time it was over I asked God the first thing I had ever asked since my salvation. For the first time in my life I truly saw the love of God through people. Within 2 months I had answered a call to preach and my life was forever changed. I have been preaching since 1996 and have never looked back. I have had the honor of leading people to Jesus everywhere God's plan has taken me. My purpose is to equip people of God to accomplish what it is God has called them to do. Over the years this has taken on many roles. Whether I have been a student, young adults, or connections pastor I have always found my purpose in loving people!

Music Ministry

God's plan for my life and ministry truly began on March 17th, 1992 on a Tuesday night revival service at Sharon Baptist Church in Hoschton, Georgia. After surrendering my life to Jesus, God didn't waste any time. I began my music ministry at the age of 12 as a church pianist. By the age of 17, I was leading others in worship. I never once thought that God would call me to lead a worship team, nor did I feel equipped to do so, but nevertheless, that's where I landed. God led our family to Liberty in 2006 and I soon learned that God equips those whom He calls. My daughters, Addy and Evy, have been raised at Liberty. My husband, Chris, has filled many roles in the church and is currently the Connections Pastor. It has been such an honor and a blessing to be part of the Liberty family.

The ONE goal of the worship team at Liberty is to worship King Jesus! We pray that you would join us in Spirit and in Truth. We feel so blessed and humbled to be able to lead and guide you into the presence of the Holy Spirit every week. We are not here to perform or entertain, but to bring glory and honor to Jesus who is worthy. We strive to bring the best of our gifts and talents to help you respond to our great God in an authentic worship encounter.
